But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.
1st Samuel 16:7

@ some point in the past, God looked down into a crowded room & chose you out of everyone gathered there, & began to draw you into His kingdom.

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:44

That's right, you can't even come to Jesus for salvation until God draws you. Instead of arguing with the truth, be glad God has chosen you folks.

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
John 16:15

All the good intentions in the world, all the self righteous effort, won't get you one step closer to heaven until God chooses to draw you into His kingdom. Every time I want to give up, every time I wonder if I'm ever going to get to heaven, I look back to that night when God chose me out of everyone who was gathering @ the Cozy Keg on Hanks drive in Baton Rouge La, June 6th, 1980, & called me out & into His kingdom. I've struggled against everything He's tried to do in my life, but he's still drawing me further & further into His kingdom right now folks. In the eyes of the world I'm the lowest form of trailer trash, but in God's eyes I'm special enough to send someone from His kingdom into a dirty smoke filled bar to call me out & into
His kingdom. Whether I truly succeed in this life or not doesn't depend on your opinion of me. It depends on how yielded I am to God's influence within me. Many of us can look back right now & remember a point when God began to draw us out of the world & into His kingdom. As Jesus once said, "Rejoice because your name is written in the Lamb's book of life".
